Lynn Patton was born in Almagordo, New Mexico, where his father was stationed with the Border Patrol. Lynn later moved with his family to Greenville, Texas where he attended public schools.
Mr. Patton then did his undergraduate work at Southwestern University where he met his wife, the former Angie Bettcher. They married in 1963 prior to his entering law school at the University of Houston. After having completed two years of study at the University of Houston, Mr. Patton completed his legal education through an internship with his later partner Jack N. Price in Longview, Texas.
Mr. Patton has been practicing in the same location since 1970 with Fred L. Nix joining the practice in 1978 and Joe B. Young joining the practice in 1986.
Lynn and his wife, Angie, have three adult children and one grandchild, and have been active in the Alpine Presbyterian Church for the past twenty-five years. Mr. Patton and his family enjoy participating in church activities, hunting, golfing and ranching.
Mr. Patton continues to represent persons accused of crimes and handles selective family law cases, but his primary emphasis is in civil trial litigation representing people who have been injured as a result of poorly designed products, oil field injuries, electrical injuries and wrecks including automobiles, large trucks and boats.
Mr. Patton remains passionately committed to the proposition that all persons should be entitled to a fair trial and fair justice.
